There are tons of amazing influencers who reside within Palm Beach County (which is called the Palm Beaches in the tourism world). Several – including me – have fun side businesses that fuel our creative passions… so today, I’m introducing you to those of us who have gift ideas that you can consider for Mother’s Day to shop local and support your hometown bloggers.
I know each and every one of these ladies in real life, and it is my pleasure to endorse their products and services.
- @AprilGoLightly with her Etsy shop, TwicetheDreams.
April is a Boca Raton-based blogger who I consider one of the O.G.’s of this area. I met her years ago, and was immediately impressed with the fact that she used to be a lawyer and she is now a serious full-time influencer. Her Etsy shop items are insanely cute, and she is very accommodating and quick to create the products.
April also can include a special tiny pocket in the inside of your mask if you request it, like I did – she puts a piece of felt in the pocket, and I recommend this for essential oil. I like to put one drop of peppermint essential oil and one drop of citrus essential oil on the felt. It is SO refreshing to have those scents in your mask!
She also has another MommyAndMeSVG shop on Etsy where you can order matching tops – and they are too cute. Such a fun photo op!
2. A tourism book, “111 Places in Palm Beach That You Must Not Miss,” by @EatPalmBeach‘s Cristyle Egitto
Maybe you knew that I used to work as the PR Manager for Discover The Palm Beaches, the destination marketing organization for Palm Beach County. But if you didn’t know, now you do – and I learned SO much about this area by reading this book! I thought I already knew a lot, yet I was pleasantly surprised by the content. Cristyle did her homework, and she wrote a book that’s perfect for moms to relax with by the pool or on the beach.
Each set of pages is a standalone story, and you can tell that she poured her heart into sharing the specialness of this slice of paradise with the world.
3. Curated novelty items from @GwenLivesWell in her online boutique, Shopping With Gigi
It’s appropriate in this Mother’s Day-Themed blog that Gigi is Gwen’s sweet grandmother name. In her online boutique, you’ll find everything from laugh-out-loud naughty cards, funny facial masks, snarky coasters, tea towels, fashion jewelry, beer bread mixes, and pouches – for everything from makeup to money and coupons, to delish dip mixes, canvas straps to change up your handbags, and sometimes even an outfit or two!
I love how her boutique features mainly women-owned (but not only), social good, small-batch shops with items either *made in the USA or completed in the USA (adding print, beading, etc.). Get your shop on in her shop!
4. Pretty Zen Books by @JulesAron, local wellness authority, writer and content creator
Jules has been dubbed “The Wellness Mixologist” by WOMEN’S HEALTH magazine for good reason. All of her books are attractive and filled with good information and recipes… I am probably not supposed to pick favorites, but her volume called “Fresh & Pure” is filled with beauty potions. Pick one for the mom in your life who needs a little self-pampering amidst a pandemic world.
I’ve had the privilege of Jules even coming to my house and whipping up some of her vegan cheese recipes for me. She’ll recall the time she made me some nut cheese that took her what seemed like hours to blend, because my food processor was so tiny. She never once complained, because she’s genuinely helpful when it comes to giving health advice.
5. Personal styling with @TheRealChaChaOlivia, AKA Theodora Pace
We could all use a little more style in our lives. That’s why you can book your mom a session with Theo, owner of Chacha-Olivia (named after her daughter’s childhood nickname). She’s a personal stylist and wardrobe consultant who works with women all over the country, bringing a sense of classic and attainable style. Theo can work with women virtually and in person, and her chic taste is unmatched!
6. A beautiful handcrafted afghan or a photo session with Tara Gray of @ModernMaven
I’m overly obsessed with the crochet magic that Tara weaves in her creations, and she makes afghans that are retro-trendy and colorful. See below…
Tara also is an interior designer who created the most stunning backdrop with her Volkswagon van, “Millie.” She’s offering Mama’s Day photo sessions at Riverbend Park, ready to be booked now here on her site. These 15 minute sessions include captures from all angles of the bus. Millie will be fully staged with beautiful furnishings, linens, pillows and fun props.
7. Last, but not least, of course I am giving my own shout out for my Mother’s Day “Mommy & Me” special sets that I created in my masklace business, Cameron Cruz Designs.
A standard adult masklace chain is 24 inches, and I created smaller versions of The Professional masklace and The Fashionista masklace with shorter chains that can be worn by little girls to young ladies. Standard length offered is 16 inches, but I am happy to custom create a different length chain for your young one.
Also, note that I launched my limited edition Spring Collection, featuring the blush pink items. These are perfect for Mother’s Day gifts to help your beloved mom “stay safe and stylish” (which is my motto for Cameron Cruz Designs).
I created a limited inventory of Blush Pink items, so once they’re gone, they’re gone – get them while they’re hot!
