This charming establishment is located in a prime spot in Hobe Sound, Florida.
If you drive through Bridge Road’s iconic “Tunnel of Trees,” the restaurant is just mere minutes from what I think is one of the “gem-iest” hidden gem beaches on the east coast of the state.
From the moment I stepped through the doors of The Grove, I was enveloped in an atmosphere that exuded hospitality and a sense of local community… thanks in large part to the warm welcome from husband and wife co-owners Jen and Luis Reyneri. Jen greeted guests by name and everyone seemed familiar with her and as if they were part of the family. Jen and Luis are sommeliers, and they opened this restaurant in 2019. Since then, they have been on a mission to transform small-town dining into world-class experiences. Cheers to that!
It was truly a feast for all senses, because I enjoyed the soulful gospel music that filled the air as I savored the wide range of options.
First Sunday Brunch at The Grove brings a fresh twist into well-known staples.
For example, we all know chicken and waffles, right? Well, their recipe infuses honey into the batter – and it just works, let me tell you. And even the syrup right by the waffles has a zing to it, although you can request regular maple syrup if your palate is less adventurous.
Stepping into The Grove, I immediately knew that this was a place where families come together.
The restaurant has an inviting and inclusive atmosphere, ensuring everyone feels right at home.
The Reyneri sons both work at the restaurant, so be sure to enjoy some delicious crepes made by their youngest son (who literally studied in France to perfect his technique).
