DIY tutorial: MAGNETIC LASHES! How to make your perfect magnetic eyelashes

In my latest YouTube tutorial on my channel Beauty News with Angela Cruz, I teach you how to make your own perfect set of false magnetic lashes that you will want to wear every day!

This video shows you how to make your most PERFECT magnetic eyelashes on your own, based upon the One Two Cosmetics magnetic false eyelashes.

I have a couple of complaints about the One Two Cosmetics magnetic lashes: 1. They are too straight, with no curve. 2. They are only half lashes. This video solves these problems, and I have been loving wearing the ones I made!

  1. I’ve seen it all. I’m not really into false lashes because, girl… too much struggle. Maybe I should look into these.

  2. I am an esthetician. I’ve loved false lashes. Got trained to apply lash extensions. But for me it’s a big no way. I’m allergic to adhesives.
Boo who! I can’t wait to try these!

  3. Thanks for the fantastic tutorial! One question: after you’ve glued your chosen fake lash to the magnetic lash, then do you use the bottom magnetic lash to “sandwich” the lashes together?

  4. Hi, I found your site when I googled “diy magnetic lashes” because I read the poor reviews of the OneTwos. I’m not in a place to watch the video right now but I am saving it. What I need to know is if you tell us where to buy the supplies, like the magnets especially.

    Thanks!

    1. Hi Danielle, I’m so sorry I just now responded! I am more active on YouTube than here on my blog. I didn’t find where to buy the small magnets, although tons of other people say you can buy them on eBay or Amazon.

  5. So I am also making my own, however, they do sell the tiny magnets to make your own on Amazon for less than 3$!! And o use the eyelure brand false lashes (I also like the steel whispies) but eyelire #118 are my fave ?

  6. Great post and Good video. True about magnetic lashes being too short and straight, better to make them yourself or wait until they make a longer/natural curved set.. Fyi-Ebay sells DIY small and thin magnets for 3D false eyelashes. Hope this helps everyone.

      1. I also would like to know… what type of glue is used to glue the tiny magnets onto the fake lashes. Also, Angela, you said 2 friends are allergic to eyelash adhesive. In making the ones in the video didn’t you use eyelash adhesive. I imagine a type of adhesive is used to glue the tiny magnets onto the lashes as well. So how did your friends get around that? Is there a hypoallergenic adhesive one can purchase?

        1. Hi Roses1, you are correct – it was eyelash glue that I used to connect the tiny magnets to the lashes! For my friends who had allergies, unfortunately they are not able to wear ANY type of false lashes because even the ready-made magnetic lashes have glue on them. I have just discovered a new magnetic lash liner called MoxieLash – https://www.moxielash.com/pages/magnetic-eye-liner?gclid=CjwKCAiA0ajgBRA4EiwA9gFORw-eD4ajxnmXeXvRt68iaNE2yK_8T5YoJck35YWw9iogYHjjtlnoVxoCLskQAvD_BwE

  7. Hi. Great video. A few questions.

Do u just apply the regular bottom lash to the top?

Does the extra lash (glued one on top) cause weight pressing on the lash line – which would cause lash damage or does the bottom magnet lift the lashes upward to prevent weight?

I noticed the outer edge of one eye was not close to the lash line. Is this because the magnetized lash is straight or is it because the lashes u glued on weren’t curved enough?

    1. Hi Stephanie, so sorry I just saw your comment! I tend to be way more active on YouTube than on my blog. I hope you figured out what you needed to know instead of waiting a month for my slow response, LOL! For your first question, I can’t tell if you were asking about the magnetic lashes – but if you were, I typically just sandwich the magnets together and it was fine. The extra glue was not a problem of weight at all! I have had no lash damage from these. You are right about the outer edge of one not being close to the lash line – it isn’t perfect. I did just buy these, which claim to be more curved… haven’t gotten them in yet, though: https://bouldervibes.com/products/magnetic-false-eyelashes

  8. I would like to know if they have come out with any curved magnetic eyelashes out since you made this video. I like what you have done however I would prefer to purchase them already done. My question is if it is easy for them to be revamped, how come One Two has not perfected theirs with a curve? Also the last pair you show on the video that you said you now use that are curved are they magnetic or they are just curved false eyelashes.

  9. I have bought the One Two Eyelashes (two times now) and the problem I hae had with them is that they are so thin, that they pull off of the magnet. I thought with the first set (2 sets per order) that I was doing something wrong and wasnt going to give up because I do think its one of the most revolutionary item to come out in cosmetics.
With the second set, I realized it wasn’t me, it was the lashes (or at least for me). Because the lashes are so thin, the lashes would start pulling apart.
So,what you have come up with is genius because not only can you control they style you want, but I think (I’ve not tried your remedy yet) it would give enough “extra” that it would prevent the magnets coming off the eyelash as well as not frey and pull the lashes off the base.
Sorry so long, I am an overly detailed person, lucky with my occupation its a must. Plus I am so excited over your tutorial.

    1. Hi Lynne, a friend of mine bought the One Two lashes and the magnets kept falling off the eyelash strips. So she ended up gluing them back on with eyelash glue (I even helped her do it)… I recommend that fix!

  10. I’m going to try this. Because the Magnetic lash is placed in the middle, once you add the bottom magnetic lash, will it appear to thick in the middle instead of the outside corners? Thanks for posting.

      1. Boulder lashes. Since you seem to be an expert on the topic I would like to hear from you whether or not they really work. Apparently they cover the whole lie and they have three magnets and the curve for the shape of the eye

  11. Why is everyone dismissing the elephant in the room? The lashes she made still only covered about 70% of her lash line. It was very obvious that they are not real because of the abrupt end of the fullness towards the inner corners of her eye. You have a great idea girl but it still needs some work. It does not look good.

  12. Angela, yeah I found the magnets on amazon so if u don’t want to double up on ur lashes u can make ur own out of ur lashes when ur done with, the expensive false eyelashes you bought ! Most important the r cheap!

  13. I have looked everywhere for a safe glue/adhesive to attach the tiny magnets straight to my own choice of false eyelashes. Any suggestions? Thanks

  15. I’d love to try those products. For now I’m very happy with Cherish Lash serum, it made my eyelashes so beautiful 🙂 But who knows, I am always open for the new. A nice collection, big thanks to the authors

    1. I’m so glad you like the serum! I grew my lashes using Rejuvenique Oil by Monat, but I love the extra-drama of magnetic lashes when I film YouTube videos or take Instagram fashion photos. 🙂

  16. Wonderful blog you have here but I was curious about if you knew of any user discussion forums that cover the same topics discussed in this article? I’d really like to be a part of community where I can get advice from other knowledgeable people that share the same interest. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. Many thanks!

  17. As a Korean living in the Philippines, I have grown to love this country and consider it my second home. I love the warmth not just of the weather but of the people as well.

  18. I have to admit that when I first came to the Philippines, I did not really like Pinoy food. 5 years later, I am not addicted to adobo, kare-kare and sinigang! Haha
